Alfred's Sweater is worked top-down seamless on circular needles. The beginning of the yoke is knit in 2x2 ribbing without raglan increases. The top is then folded over to create a casing or hem (like a short tube) where the elastic band will be placed. Then, the rest of the yoke is worked with raglan increases.

Suggested needles: 3 mm (U.S. size 3) / 40 cm and 60 cm (16 and 24 inches) circular needles; 3 mm double pointed needles (unless you are using the magic loop technique); or the required needle size to obtain gauge.
