The Mystar scarf fits perfectly into the mini scarf trend. It's fully reversible – you won’t be able to tell the right side from the wrong side. The scarf is worked in a cable pattern that's easier than you might think: the cable is made the same way on both sides, so once you've learned the technique, there's no need to keep checking the chart.

How to work the knitwear: The scarf is worked from tip to other tip, and it’s shaped by increases and decreases on the left edge.

Size guide

The pattern includes three different lengths, which you can adjust to suit your style and the amount of yarn you have.

• The shortest mini scarf is tied snugly around the neck or head or used as a charm on a bag.
• The medium-length scarf wraps once around the neck before tying, and can also be tied into a bow on your bag or around your neck.
• The longest and widest version also wraps once around the neck and makes a bold accessory for any outfit.

Finished measurements

Mini scarf: 80 cm x 6 cm / 32” x 2.5”

Medium mini scarf: 110 cm x 6 cm / 44” x 2.5”

Large mini scarf: 120 cm x 9 cm / 48” x 3.5”

Yarn

Mini scarf: 25 g of Gepard Garn Kid Seta (70 % mohair, 30 % silk - 210 m / 229 yds / 25 g), colour Spring Green (826).

Medium mini scarf: 40 g of Gepard Garn Cashmere Klassik (100 % cashmere - 105 m / 114 yds / 25 g), colour Dark Coffee (192).

Large mini scarf: 50 g of Gepard Garn Cashmere Lace (100 % cashmere - 330 m / 360 yds / 25 g), colour Walnut Wood (146). This version is worked holding 2 thin strands together.

Or any other yarn that goes to gauge.

Needles

3 mm (US2.5) circular needle or DPNs for all sizes. 

Notions

2 stitch markers, cable needle, tapestry needle.

Gauge

30 sts x 18 rows (1 repeat of chart A + edge sts) = 6 cm / 2.5” x 6.5 cm / 2.5”.  

46 sts x 18 rows (1 repeat of chart B + edge sts) = 10 cm / 4” x 6.5 cm / 2.5”.
