The jumper is knitted from top to bottom with a pattern according to the diagram in Mandarin Petite.

First, stitches are cast on for the back piece, which is knitted down to under the sleeves. Then knit up stitches along each shoulder to the left and right side of the front piece. Stitches are decreased and increased towards the neck, while double crochets are worked. The front pieces are then knitted together and knitted down to under the sleeves, before being knitted together with the back piece. The front and back pieces are further knitted in the round and finished with a purl. Knit up stitches around the armhole and knit the sleeves in the round with a pattern. The stitches are cast off evenly distributed down the sleeve, before ending with a purl. The neckline is knitted at the end.
